The event marked a historic milestone for the province of Ifugao, introducing its first-ever representative to the national stage of Miss World Philippines.
Valerie Claire West, a biomedical engineer and certified EMT, was formally sashed as Miss World Philippines Ifugao. Known for her previous title as Miss Reina Filipina North America, Valerie brings a unique blend of intellect, compassion, and cultural pride to her new role. Her appointment as “The Voice of Ifugao” reflects a commitment to advocacy rooted in ancestral wisdom and modern leadership.

The launch was attended by prominent figures in Philippine pageantry, including Krishnah Gravidez, reigning Miss World Philippines 2024 and Miss World Asia 2025. Also present were Arnold Vegafria, National Director of Miss World Philippines; Aldrich Maru Dabao, General Manager; and Francis Rey Chee, Creative Director and Head Fashion Stylist. Their presence underscored the significance of the event and the organization’s dedication to regional representation.
Guests were treated to cultural tributes, heartfelt speeches, and a ceremonial sashing that honored both tradition and ambition. Valerie’s partnership with the PUSO Foundation, which supports medical missions and disaster response, further highlighted her advocacy for service and community upliftment.
